The Government has announced three lines of aid to modernize the commercial sector, both urban and rural , endowed with a budget of 104 million euros for 2021 and which aim to alleviate the effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic .
These grants, whose potential beneficiaries will be local entities, will be distributed in three lines of action: sustainable markets in commercial urban areas, in rural areas and in tourist areas , as indicated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism .
Three lines of aid
The first line of aid is aimed at supporting markets, commercial urban areas and short marketing channels and seeks to finance the development of projects with a technological, innovative and sustainability content, as well as the improvement of equipment.
This line has an endowment of more than 200 million euros for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 and the deadline for submitting applications will end on September 30.
In addition, a line of loans to markets in rural areas is established with subsidies intended to support the implementation, modernization and promotion of commercial activity in these towns with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants. Its endowment is 15 million in three years (2021-2023) and applications can be submitted until October 6.
The last line of aid is aimed at strengthening trade in tourist areas and is specifically aimed at supporting commercial establishments located in tourist areas and improving the shopping experience for tourists.
This line has an endowment of 100 million euros for the same three years and applications can be submitted until October 4.
